Bad Ass is a village in Lancre.
History[]
Bad Ass is named after a donkey that refused to move. It is the birthplace of Eskarina Smith, heroine of Equal Rites. It is also the longtime residence of Granny Weatherwax, Esk's first mentor. It appears in Equal Rites, but is mentioned in Wyrd Sisters and Carpe Jugulum. It is also home to at least one goat.

Bad Ass is a village tucked in a narrow valley between steep woods at the base of the Ramtop Mountains. It is described as a small village that doesn't show up on maps of the mountains (in fact, it barely shows up on a map of the village).

When introduced in Equal Rites, Bad Ass is described as "a village tucked in a narrow valley between steep woods. It wasn't a large village, and wouldn't have shown up on a map of the mountains. It barely showed up on a map of the village. It was in fact one of those places that exist merely so that people can have come from them. The universe is littered with them - hidden villages, wind-swept little towns under wide skies, isolated cabins on chilly mountains, whose only mark on history is to be the incredibly ordinary place where something extraordinary started to happen."
