Rerpf was a resident of Ankh-Morpork, and the landlord of the Groaning Platter tavern by the Brass Bridge. After Twoflower arrived in the city and introduced the concept of tourism to the population, he became vice-guildmaster in charge of tourism of the newly formed Guild of Merchants and Traders.
