Wentworth Aching is Tiffany's younger sticky brother, who makes his appearance in The Wee Free Men and seems to exhibit all the worst characteristics of modern stereotypical children; he is obsessed with sweets, particularly gummy bears, and has a vocabulary which consists of yelling for more "Sweeties" and saying "Wanna go a-toy-lut." As the youngest child and only son of Joe Aching and his wife, he is spoiled by his parents which annoys Tiffany no end as she has to look after him and, because of his birth, is no longer the baby of the family. Towards the end of The Wee Free Men, Wentworth begins to grow up and become less childish, likely as a result of his time with the Queen of Elves who filled him with sweeties. The Nac Mac Feegles don't take any of his nonsense either, threatening to wallop him and Tiffany probably plays a role in his improvement. He helps out on the farm, imitates the Wee-Wee men (The Nac Mac Feegle) and learns to speak more properly.

In Wintersmith, Wentworth has grown into a boy who enjoys and is honing his skills fishing. He does his best to emulate the men around the farm and make himself helpful, but like all boys generally gets under people's feet.

Wentworth gets in a physical tussle in I Shall Wear Midnight. His bloody nose and black eye are a result of his defensiveness when the older boys were slandering Tiffany. The other boys do not get out of the fight unscathed however; Wentworth kicks Billy Teller in the fork.
